Lanoka Harbor EMS is pleased to announce that Krista Sierra, a member of our agency, has been selected as a recipient of the 2018 ZOLL EMT Scholarship.
According to ZOLL, the intent of the Scholarship Program is to award medical education grants to qualifying caregivers who demonstrate a career commitment to the profession. The goal of the program is to support the education of EMTs (EMT-Basic, EMT-Advanced) who are working toward their paramedic certification (EMT-P).
Recipients of this year’s ZOLL EMT Scholarship Program were selected from nine states across the country – Florida, Kansas, Montana, New Hampshire, Nevada, New York, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
“These individuals have demonstrated their commitment and passion for the field of emergency medicine,” said Elijah A. White, Vice President of Marketing, ZOLL Resuscitation. “With support from this scholarship program, they will advance their lifesaving skills and continue to make their communities safer places.”
Krista has been a member of the EMS community for several years, serving with Lanoka Harbor EMS since 2015. In addition to her commitment at LHEMS, Krista provides classroom instruction to EMT students at the Ocean County Training Center in Waretown, NJ via their partnership with the Hackensack Meridian Health System. Furthermore, Krista also puts her skills to use at Raceway Park in Eatontown, NJ, where she works seasonally as an EMT.
Krista is a true asset to the emergency medicine field, and Lanoka Harbor EMS is proud to call her one of our own.
